Ingredients

  1. ⅓ cup chicken broth
  2. 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  3. 1 tablespoon soy sauce, or as needed
  4. 2 teaspoons fish sauce
  5. 1 teaspoon white sugar
  6. 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  7. 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  8. 1 pound skinless, boneless bird thighs, coarsely chopped
  9. ¼ cup sliced shallots
  10. four cloves garlic, minced
  11. 2 tablespoons minced Thai chilies, Serrano, or other warm pepper
  12. 1 cup very thinly sliced sparkling basil leaves
  13. 2 cups hot cooked rice

Whisk bird broth, oyster sauce, soy sauce, fish sauce, white sugar, and brown sugar together in a bowl till well mixed.

Heat massive skillet over excessive heat. Drizzle in oil. Add bird and stir fry until it loses its uncooked shade, 2 to 3 minutes.

Stir in shallots, garlic, and sliced chilies. Continue cooking on excessive warmth till a number of the juices begin to caramelize in the bottom of the pan, about 2 or three greater minutes.

Add about a tablespoon of the sauce combination to the skillet; cook and stir till sauce starts to caramelize, approximately 1 minute.

Pour inside the rest of the sauce. Cook and stir till sauce has deglazed the bottom of the pan. Continue to prepare dinner till sauce glazes onto the meat, 1 or 2 extra minutes. Remove from warmth.

Stir in basil. Cook and stir until basil is wilted, about 20 seconds. Serve with rice.
