Ingredients

  1. 1 ½ cups distilled white vinegar
  2. 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  3. 1 ½ cups packed light brown sugar
  4. ½ teaspoon turmeric
  5. ½ teaspoon celery seed
  6. ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  7. 1 ½ kilos jalapeno peppers, sliced into 1/2-inch-thick jewelry

Directions

Inspect your canning jars for cracks and rings for rust, discarding any defective ones. Immerse in simmering water till jalapenos are equipped. Wash new, unused lids and jewelry in heat soapy water.

    Combine vinegar, granulated sugar, brown sugar, turmeric, celery seed, and garlic powder in a multi-useful pressure cooker (inclusive of Instant Pot®). Stir till sugar has softened. Add jalapeno earrings and stir again till combined.

    Close and lock the lid. Select excessive stress consistent with producer’s instructions; set timer for 0 mins. Allow 15 mins for pressure to construct (the jalapenos will prepare dinner within the 15 mins it takes for the Instant Pot to come back to strain).

    Release pressure cautiously the use of the fast-release approach in line with manufacturer’s instructions, about five minutes. Unlock and dispose of the lid. Using a slotted spoon, transfer jalapeno earrings to warm, sterilized canning jars.
