Ingredients
- 1 half kilos boneless skinless bird breast, cut into 1-inch pieces

- 2 teaspoons minced fresh ginger
- 1/4 cup plus 1 teaspoon cooking oil of preference, divided

- 1/3 cup hoisin sauce
- 1/3 cup rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sambal oelek, or to flavor
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1/2 cup carrots, cut into matchsticks
- 1/2 cup sliced shallots
- 4 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, or to taste
Directions
Place chook portions in a bowl. Sprinkle with cornstarch, salt, and white pepper. Toss hen to coat lightly and set apart.
Heat 1 teaspoon cooking oil in a small nonstick skillet over medium warmth. Add garlic and ginger and cook dinner, stirring, until fragrant, about 1 minute.
