Ingredients
- 1 half of teaspoons olive oil
- 1/three cup diced onion
- 1/3 cup diced green bell pepper
- 1/four teaspoon garlic powder
- half of pound ground pork
- half teaspoon kosher salt
- half teaspoon freshly floor black pepper
- 1/2 cup Sloppy Joe sauce, plus greater for serving
- 2 slices thick-reduce American cheese
- 2 hamburger buns
Directions
Heat a griddle or massive skillet over medium high heat. Add oil, onion, and bell pepper; season with garlic powder and prepare dinner, stirring continuously, till softened and browned around the edges, about 5 minutes.
Arrange onion mixture into 4 mounds. Divide pork into four quantities and location each element over a mound of peppers and onions. Using a flat spatula, press down firmly on each segment to form skinny patties. Season frivolously with salt and pepper and prepare dinner, undisturbed, until browned on the bottom and round the rims, about three mins.
Flip burgers and top every with 2 tablespoons of Sloppy Joe sauce. Place cheese slices over of the burgers and top with final 2 burgers.
Toast every bun in pan drippings and upload stacked burgers to buns. Serve with extra sauce if desired.
